Our business was founded by our Director of Happiness, Garry Kousoulou FBDO, an award-winning Optician with two and a half decades of experience, much of which has been running his own practice. Garry has many other talents too – he’s a published author, a CET trainer, the founder of a successful social media consultancy, and an entrepreneur.
Garry has recently been joined by Carole Fossey, our Chief Happiness Officer, who has worked within and owned her own recruitment agency. Carole has a passion for ensuring the client and candidate are a match by listening to everyone’s needs and wants for their job role.
Garry & Carole bring almost 60 years of optical and recruitment management experience to the business with contacts that reach globally.
In the summer of 2024, Krishna de Gruchy joined NeedAnOptom.com as its Chief Executive Officer (CEO), bringing with him an impressive wealth of expertise in optical and healthcare management. With over three decades of experience, Krishna has a proven track record in clinic operations, customer service leadership, and team development. His extensive background makes him exceptionally well-equipped to guide NeedAnOptom.com into a new era of innovation, growth, and industry leadership.
Krishna has built a distinguished career, having held senior roles in renowned optical and surgery clinics. Notably, he has worked for large multiples, where he oversaw multi-million-pound operations, and at The Westover Medical Group, where he was instrumental in ensuring operational excellence and managing risk within general practice. His strategic leadership in these organisations honed his ability to navigate complex healthcare environments while improving patient satisfaction, financial performance, and compliance.
In addition to his experience in the optical and healthcare sectors, Krishna is known for his exceptional team management and operational efficiency skills. He has demonstrated the ability to lead large teams, drive continuous improvement, and implement cutting-edge solutions, particularly through the use of CRM systems. His focus on innovation has consistently delivered strong operational results and enhanced customer service.
As CEO of NeedAnOptom.com, Krishna brings his comprehensive industry knowledge and visionary leadership to the company. His approach emphasises fostering meaningful connections, streamlining recruitment processes, and enhancing the user experience for both employers and job seekers within the optometry sector.
