Job Description

Looking for a qualified and compassionate Optometrist to provide excellent eye care services. As an Optometrist, you will be responsible for diagnosing, treating, and helping to prevent diseases and disorders related to the eyes and visual system. Your role will be pivotal in ensuring patients maintain optimal eye health and vision.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct comprehensive eye examinations to assess patients' vision, eye health, and the presence of any visual abnormalities.

  2. Provide accurate diagnoses and treatment plans for vision-related conditions, such as myopia, hyperopia, astigmatism, and presbyopia.

  3. Prescribe and fit corrective lenses (glasses or contact lenses) to improve patients' vision.

  4. Detect and manage eye diseases, including glaucoma, cataracts, diabetic retinopathy, and macular degeneration.

  5. Educate patients about proper eye care practices, the use of corrective lenses, and the importance of regular eye exams.

  6. Maintain detailed and accurate patient records, including examination results, medical history, and treatment plans.

  7. Collaborate with our team of healthcare professionals, including ophthalmologists and opticians, to ensure comprehensive eye care for our patients.

  8. Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in optometry and eye care, and participate in continuous education and professional development.

  9. Assist in managing inventory and ordering necessary supplies and equipment for the optometry department.

  10. Provide outstanding customer service, demonstrating empathy and professionalism in patient interactions.

Qualifications:

  1. Doctor of Optometry (O.D.) degree from an accredited institution.

  2. Strong diagnostic and clinical skills in optometry.

  3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  4. Attention to detail and the ability to maintain accurate patient records.

  5. Commitment to providing exceptional patient care and service.

  6. Knowledge of industry-standard equipment and technologies used in optometry.

  7. Willingness to stay current with advancements in the field through continuing education.

  8. Customer-focused and a team player.
